War Memorial

For the Millenium Loose Parish Council decided to clean and restore the Village War Memorial. One of our members, Margaret Chapman decided as a project, to research each of the names on the Memorial and to write up her findings so that thememorial would not be just a list of names but a living memorial which would give an insight to the people who gave their lives. This work extended to all the names of those of the village who died in the 1st and 2nd World Wars.

Her work has aroused much interest and has been made available both at our meetings and at other exhibitions throughout the county. She has now published it on a website so that it is available to all, worldwide. By clicking on the link below you can view her work as a pdf file which can be read by using Adobe Reader. If you have not already access to Adobe Reader it can be downloaded free from . The download using a Broadband connection may take several minutes to complete. It is 39.2 MB.
